I rise above seasonal depression.
I am strong enough to overcome the crippling effects of seasonal depression. Changes in the time and weather are unable to affect my state of mind because I am well grounded.
My joy comes from a well of gratitude overflowing in my heart for the blessings I have. Regardless of the time of year, gratitude springs forth from my soul because I am loved year round.
When sadness tries to creep in, I remind myself of all the people who love me and of all the blessings that I have to be thankful for.
I find ways to keep myself occupied and entertained during shortened days. Instead of feeling sad about the weather, I find new activities to engage in during the new season.
If it is too dark or too cold to stay outside, I come up with fun activities to do indoors. I create new traditions with my family and friends to turn this into a season I look forward to.
My determination brings me satisfaction. Instead of giving up on life, I drive myself into creative mode to come up with new adventures. I give myself new reasons to enjoy the moment I find myself in.
To stay positive during times when seasonal depression knocks on my door, I look for new reasons to appreciate the season. I can choose to focus on the negative aspects of a season in my life, or I can choose to overlook the negative and focus on the good.
Today, I choose to make this time of year a season of fun by creating new adventures and focusing on the good around me.
